Welcoming the World to Santa Marta for ICANN DNS Symposium 2024
As a Colombian, I couldn’t be more excited to say Bienvenidos, Mi casa es vuestra casa to all those attending the Seventh ICANN DNS Symposium. From September 23rd to 26th, Santa Marta, Colombia, will be the center of the domain industry’s attention as professionals, researchers, developers, and DNS operators gather for an insightful week of networking and innovation. The event takes place at the stunning Santa Marta Marriott Resort Playa Dormida, nestled between the ocean and the mountains. Really, it’s a great place to get a taste of Colombia!
About the Symposium: Navigating the Future of DNS Operations
This year’s theme, “Navigating the Future: Innovations and Challenges in DNS Operations,” sets the stage for a deep dive into the most pressing issues shaping the future of DNS. From extending DNS protocols to ensuring the reliability of DNS services during outages or attacks, the symposium offers critical insights for anyone working in the domain space. It’s an opportunity to “poner toda la carne en el asador” (put all the meat on the grill) and explore new approaches to DNS operations.
The week kicks off on 23 September with plenary sessions, followed by the LAC Domain Names Week on 24 September, and the highly anticipated ICANN DNS Symposium on 25 September. The week concludes with DNS Community Day, hosted by DNS-OARC, on 26 September. I’ll be attending sessions and taking meetings throughout the event, and I look forward to connecting with you all. Reach out and let’s connect: Book a meeting with me!
